The REDARC Brake-Safe Break-Away system applies a trailer's brakes and brake lights if it accidentally separates from the tow vehicle. It suits trailers and caravans with 2 or 4 wheel electric brakes, giving you a backup when it matters most.
The unit carries its own built-in battery, which charges from the tow vehicle's auxiliary line or from a battery charger. A simple test button shows the battery's charge level, and it should be checked before every tow. The system runs on a 12VDC input and measures 170 x 160 x 90 mm.
