When your auxiliary bank is on the larger side, the REDARC BCDC Classic40 (BCDC1240D) delivers 40A of charge from the alternator and solar. It is built for engine bay installation and keeps your battery charged on the road or parked with portable panels.
The MPPT solar regulator accepts 9 to 32V and charges simultaneously with the alternator, with Green Power Priority™ choosing solar first. It works with 12V or 24V vehicles and standard or variable voltage alternators. Nominal output power is 600W. As a guide, it suits lead acid banks over 200Ah and lithium batteries over 100Ah. Check your battery maker's recommended maximum charge current before choosing. For smaller batteries, REDARC recommends the BCDC1225D. Fuses are not supplied; REDARC FK60 is recommended.
