Product Details
The REDARC Battery Master Isolation Switch (BMIS4PPV2KIT) gives positive-positive isolation for heavy vehicles with dual start cables. It safely isolates both battery circuits and stops loads drawing from the vehicle when it is not in use, reducing flat battery faults.
Released in September 2020, the V2 provides installation compliance with Dangerous Goods Standard AS2809:2020. It meets the requirements of large diesel engines in 12 and 24 volt systems and uses an ISO 26262 rated dual redundancy system to avoid false triggering. Fitted as OE at Kenworth, it includes a BMIS-CK connector kit as standard for non-Kenworth installs. For retrofits, REDARC recommends the BMIS-AP adaptor plate, sold separately.
