The REDARC Handbrake Alarm with 10 Way Connector (HBA1224-003) warns you if a door is opened while the handbrake is off. It helps prevent a vehicle being left unattended and rolling away.
The alarm monitors the handbrake switch and the doorframe switch, the one that turns on the cab light when the door opens. Once triggered, it stays latched on until the handbrake is applied, even if the door is closed again. This version has a male 10 way (9 wire) connector lead for a faster, simpler installation, and pairs with the HBAKIT-001 mating connector kit. It works in 12V or 24V systems with a 9 to 32V DC operating range and standby current under 2mA. It is a mandatory health and safety fitment on many mine site vehicles.
