Dual Sensing Smart Start Battery Isolator 12V 100A

The REDARC Smart Start SBI12D is a 12V, 100A dual sensing battery isolator for systems where the auxiliary battery also gets charge from solar panels or an external AC charger. It protects the start battery from excessive discharge and lets that external charge flow back to top it up.

Dual sensing is the difference. When the auxiliary battery reaches 13.2V from an external source, the SBI12D connects the start battery so it is charged too. It drops out at 12.7V. The microprocessor-controlled solenoid avoids the voltage drop of a diode isolator, and fault detection with LED indication warns of over-voltage, voltage drop and excessive current draw. Used primarily in 4WD and commercial vehicles, it should be installed with a quality fuse kit.
