Product Details
Built for extremely heavy-duty use, the REDARC Smart Start SBI212D is a 12V, 200A dual sensing isolator that allows charge to flow both ways. It protects the start battery from excessive discharge and lets solar or an external AC charger top it up through the auxiliary battery.
Once the auxiliary battery reaches 13.2V from an external source, the SBI212D brings the start battery online so it charges as well, then isolates again at 12.7V. The microprocessor-controlled solenoid sidesteps the voltage drop of diode isolation, and electronics prevent high voltage transients. LED fault indication covers over-voltage, voltage drop and excessive current draw. It suits 4WD and commercial vehicles and should be fitted with a quality fuse kit.
