Product Details
For heavy-duty 24V setups, the REDARC Smart Start SBI224 isolates your start and auxiliary batteries at up to 200A continuous. Your start battery stays protected from excessive discharge while the auxiliary battery carries the non-essential loads.
Mostly used in commercial vehicle dual battery systems, the SBI224 switches in at 26.4V and out at 25.4V under microprocessor control. Choosing a solenoid isolator over a diode type reduces the voltage drop that comes with diode isolation, and built-in components stop the solenoid creating high voltage transients. LED indication reports over-voltage, voltage drop and excessive current draw faults, and standby draw is under 5mA. Pair it with a high quality fuse kit.
