Product Details
The REDARC Smart Start SBI24D is a 24V, 100A dual sensing battery isolator for setups where the auxiliary battery is also charged by solar panels or an external AC charger. It stops a low secondary battery draining the primary, and lets external charge top up the start battery.
When the auxiliary battery is charged from an external source and reaches 26.4V, the SBI24D connects the start battery so it is charged as well. It isolates again at 25.4V. Its microprocessor-controlled solenoid avoids diode voltage drop, and built-in electronics prevent high voltage transients. Fault detection with LED indication warns of over-voltage, voltage drop and excessive current draw. Used primarily in commercial vehicles, it should be fitted with a quality fuse kit.
