The REDARC Regulator Temperature Probe (SRP0240-TP) lets your solar regulator adjust its charge rate to the actual battery temperature rather than the ambient air temperature. That means charging that better matches the conditions your battery is really in.
The probe comes on a 2m extension cable with a temperature sensor that reads the temperature inside the battery compartment. Mount it as close as possible to the battery for accurate readings. REDARC's SRP series solar regulators list a remote temperature sensor as an optional extra.
